Moisture penetration through concrete slabs can cause severe problems for finish flooring systems. High concentrations of moisture and alkalinity (levels that can and should be determined through testing) can lead to the deterioration of flooring adhesives and delamination of coatings by osmotic action. Even with relatively low moisture vapor emissions, elevated alkalinity can compromise even the toughest flooring system adhesives. To avoid this problem, the concrete slab should be sealed with a material that will tightly bond to the concrete under these very adverse conditions.

We offer floor coatings which are hard wearing and durable solutions for both commercial and industrial flooring.  They are designed to prevent floor failures on concrete slabs containing elevated levels of moisture vapor emission.  They have no upper limits for water vapor emissions; they resist high moisture levels (100% RH) and a sustained pH of 14. We offer several different systems with cure times of 2 hours up to 12 hours.
